This project challenged me to design a chair using no more than two plywood boards (120 x 60 x 1cm) assembled without the use of glue, screws, nails or any other forms of mechanical fasteners. The delineated 1 cm intersections facilitate a rapid assembly or disassembly of the Jane chair.
The outcome of the design process is a chair with a crisp and minimal aesthetic which appears to be particularly light yet extremely robust due to the composition of the intersecting elements.
